The SxS Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve allows water to enter the refrigerator’s water dispenser and ice maker. If the icemaker of your appliance stops making ice, the ice cubes are small or hollow, no water flows from the dispenser or it flows constantly, or if you notice water at the bottom of the fresh food compartment, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. The package includes (1) inlet water valve, (1) plastic tube, (1) plastic union and installation instructions. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator's water supply before you begin.
