• UNIVERSAL RADAR DETECTOR COMPATIBILITY: Every radar detector is unique. We designed our radar mount with features that adapt to uneven surfaces on your detector housing. This is accomplished by our innovative three-layer mounting pad design. The first layer’s ultra-strong adhesive grips the housing securely. The second layer is custom foam that conforms to the detector's shape. Lastly, a steel magnetic plate indexes and secures the detector to the mounting base, ensuring unmatched stability.
• RADAR MOUNTING BASE W/ 20MM BALL: Crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum, the receiving base of our radar mount magnetically attaches to the mounting pad on your radar detector housing. This design makes it incredibly easy to mount and remove the detector from your dash, allowing you to stow it away when not in use. The attached 20mm ball, also made from billet aluminum, features a CNC-machined finish for exceptional strength and precision, ensuring compatibility with any 20mm ball-and-socket system.
• FEATURING TYPE-B INTERFACE: Tackform's standard method for attaching a ball to a mounting surface is the Type-B interface, which enables seamless switching between ball sizes and connections for cross-platform compatibility. Offering unmatched versatility, our radar mount can attach directly to the top plate of a Tackform Type-B compatible dash bracket (using the supplied screw) without the need for a ball or arm. This allows for the shortest, most streamlined connection to your dash bracket.
• TACKFORM 20 SERIES: Specifically designed for compatibility with Tackform’s 20 Series Platform, revolving around the 20mm ball and socket system. While compatible with other 20mm products, our parts stand out for their tested durability and engineered load capacities, featuring a safety factor not guaranteed by other manufacturers. Please Note: Not compatible with 25.4mm / 1” / B-Sized ball systems.
