Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood is a fast-growing, upright-spreading shrub with dark green leaves that are tinged with red and orange shades. Its foliage turns purple in the fall. Butterflies are attracted to its fragrant flower clusters, and birds are attracted to its fruits. This shrub’s red stems add interest to the landscape in winter. A low-maintenance shrub, it resists deer and can be used for erosion control or as a flowering hedge. Grows up to 9 feet tall and wide when mature.
