The Precision Twist R51FS long-length, uncoated finish, round-shank drill bit is commonly used to drill holes in copper and aluminum magnesium. It can drill to a depth up to six times the diameter of the drill size. The shank diameter is the same as the drill size. The R51FS series has a type W flute form, with a quick helix (35- to 45-degree) angle. Uncoated tools have no finish or coating. They are a common choice for drilling deep holes in materials of low tensile strength. Drilling, or hole making, is the most common metalworking operation in the world.
