This adapter will allow you to mount a 2.5" or 3.5" SAS SSD with 29-pin connector type SFF-8482 hot plug to a USB 3.0 port. Attention, it is sold without power supply, you will need to connect a 12V 3A power supply (or more) to power the SAS drive. Compatibility: Supports all 2.5" and 3.5" SAS drives with SFF-8482 connector. Plug and play, compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac. Specifications: SFF-8482 Quick Connector USB 3.0 interface to connect to PC type A (cord included). 5GB transfer rate. Maximum managed capacity 24GB. External power supply not provided: you will need a 12V 3A or higher power supply (e.g. 12V/4A or 12V/5A) with 2.5x5.5 central polarity tip. You will find two compatible power supply models under this description. USB cord length: 45 cm Dimensions: 5 x 5 x 1 cm. No driver required, works seamlessly for the operating system. Note: There are three types of SAS sectors: 512 / 520 / 528. This adapter only supports SAS drives with a type 512 sector.
