Although it's called salt, Epsom salt isn't actually salt. It's pure magnesium sulfate crystals. Discovered in the 15th or 16th century in Epsom, England, it's said to have been named after its white color and resemblance to salt. This special product is the only one in Japan to produce magnesium sulfate from a complete refining process, achieving a purity of 99.99% through recrystallization.
