1/4 Inch Fir Bark Fines are used to amend regular bonsai potting soil and seedling orchid soil. Retains moisture while providing fast drainage. Fir bark is expensive to process but has a longer service life than pine bark because of the thicker particle size. This is commonly found in conifer bonsai soil mixes. Mix with other ingredients such as lava rock, calcined clay or pumice to create a potting soil specific to your needs. This is not a ready to use complete soil mix. You are purchasing one ingredient only.
