Our African Frankincense is an amazing aroma very similar to the Holy Frankincense or sacra (sacred frankincense). Unlike the Indian variant, which is more tropical and light, carterii is more rich and flavorful. The aroma is warm and grounding grown in coastal deserts of Somali Land just north of Ethiopia. After the government funded research done in Oman of the cancer fighting nature of Frankincense, the presence of acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid also known as AKBA, carterii oil has become a highly sought after oil. </p>
