While tannins are not harmful to your health, they are not aesthetically pleasing and can range from a light yellow color to a dark tea color. As a matter of fact, tannin is what gives your tea and coffee its dark colorTo keep costs down, most people use a system that combines tannin specific resin with standard softening resin. These combo systems provide all the benefits of a tannin filter with the softening ability of a water softener. The lower cost of softening resin also provides a lower price than the tannin only systems. Controlled by the low cost Fleck 5600sxt, this system provides durability and efficiency in an economical package. The 5600sxt control head is metered, meaning it measures the amount of water used and regenerates only as needed!

• Complete System - 9-inchx48-inch resin tank, Riser tube with distributor basket, 1 cubic foot total resin, Digital Fleck 5600SXT Metered Control Head, 1" Yoke and Bypass, Brine Tank with Safety Float.
• 3 ppm Tannins - Contains 0.5 cubic foot of tannin specific resin capable of removing up to 3 ppm of tannins. Contact us if you have higher than 3 ppm tannin. 16,000 grain Hardness - Contains 0.5 cubic foot high capacity softening resin capable of removing 16,000 grains of hardness between regeneration cycles. 8 GPM Service Flow - Treats a maximum flow rate of 8 gallons per minute.
• Clears Murky Water - While tannins are not harmful, they are not aesthetically pleasing and can range from a light yellow color to a dark tea color. Removes Water Hardness - Ion exchange process physically removes the ions that cause hard water. Eliminates Scale - Water that has been softened does not form scale buildup on faucets or fixtures or inside pipes.
• Digital Fleck 5600SXT Control Head - The digital head provides a more user-friendly system with a LCD display, push-button operation, and additional programming options. Additionally, the digital head allows for more efficient operation than the standard mechanical head.
• Comes with an AFW Filters water bottle that includes a sanitizer pack for installation, silicone lubricant, USB w/ instructions, and hardness test strips for the perfect install.
